Generic Loestrin Fe - 1/20 - Birth Control Plus Iron

Loestrin Fe 1/20 is a brand name birth control pill containing norethindrone eth-estra fe. In addition to preventing pregnancy, it may reduce the heaviness of periods and lessen the amount of bleeding. The extra dose of iron in the inactive reminder pills may help offset low iron levels that may result from heavy bleeding if the bleeding is not lessened.

FDA-approved generics of Loestrin Fe 1/20 include Microgestin Fe 1/20, Tarina Fe 1/20, Blisovi Fe 1/20, Larin Fe 1/20, Junel Fe 1/20 and Gildess Fe 1/20.

Recommended dosages to treat iron deficiency are higher than 75mg, usually 150-200mg. However, 75mg of iron is higher than the RDA of iron, so your physician will determine if these iron pills are right for you. Reminder pills also help continue the habit of taking a pill every day.

Microgestin Fe 1/20 belongs to a category of birth control pills known as combination pills because it contains an estrogen and a progestin. It's also classified as "monophasic," because the potency of each active pill remains the same throughout the cycle.

What Are FSA and HSA Accounts?

FSA's and HSA's are federal programs that make it easy for you to enjoy significant tax benefits for qualified out-of-pocket medical expenses. Each program works a little differently but with each you avoid federal, state and local income taxes on any funds that you use for qualified medical expenses.

FSA tax benefits are administered by your job. Funds in an amount that you decide —within the program limits—are withdrawn from your paycheck without any payroll tax deductions.

Tax benefits with an HSA may be administered that way but there are also other options.

How Do I Use My FSA/HSA Funds?

You can use a pre-loaded debit card or get reimbursed from your FSA or HSA account after you make your purchase or a combination of both methods.
